"Throughout the year, we have seen Democrats across the country uniting around a new legislative proposal that would end Medicare as we know it and take away benefits that seniors have paid for their entire lives.

Dishonestly called 'Medicare for All,' the Democratic proposal would establish a government-run, single-payer health care system that eliminates all private and employer-based health care plans and would cost an astonishing $32.6 trillion during its first 10 years.

As a candidate, I promised that we would protect coverage for patients with pre-existing conditions and create new health care insurance options that would lower premiums. I have kept that promise, and we are now seeing health insurance premiums coming down."

Trump's Medicare For All LIES

  1. Republicans have shown themselves to be the party of ‘the end justifies the means”, where winning at all costs is the sole goal. They have sold their soul for the chance to rule over people they think are beneath their positions in life. They worship power, wealth, narrow mindedness and short term thinking, and use fear, loud mouths, and ignorance as a tool.

  2. Medicare for all is the future. Trump, McConnell, Fox News and the Republicans are so over the hill, they’ve already got their Medicare.

    • *Generous welfare policies or open borders, PICK ONE, YOU ECONOMICALLY ILLITERATE DEGENERATES. You can’t have both.*

    • +garbanzobeen beenzeen I can control whether or not you sub-human degenerate Socialists get into power or not. They’re starving to death eating seagulls and zoo animals in Venezuela. That is what happens when low IQ morons like you are allowed to vote. Trump is going to change the voting system to prevent sub-human retards like you from voting, or there will be no country here in 50 years.

  3. They have us fighting over scraps when 55% percent(and rising) of the budget goes towards defense (and killing bus loads of kids). The sheep are blind and fighting amongst themselves and we progressives are just here like “Hello can we join the rest of the civilized world? We’ve got the answers all around us! “

  4. The current system of ever rising healthcare costs will bankrupt the country but Trump is familiar with going bankrupt, many times.

  5. Again, when anybody says Venezuela bad, ask them if Israel is bad. Tthe mainstream GOP are incapably of criticizing Israel, and Israel is far more socialist that anything Bernie Sanders has promoted. The Israeli government is hawkish and far right on foreign matters, but very socialist left when it comes to Jewish Israelis- ie subsidized housing, free college, health care and retirement

  6. haha I live in Finland and I approve your pun, also social democracy and universal single payer healthcare is EPIC, 10/10 would recommend

  7. I’m an Army veteran. I get free healthcare for the rest of my life on your tax dollars.
You shouldn’t have to go to war to get free healthcare.

Btw, the military is the biggest socialist program in the world.

  8. It’s scary to think how often a man in such a high position of power as Donald Trump can lie and twist things around and even scarier how many people believe him. Trump is the greatest threat to this country we have and he needs to go.

  9. Trump has praised the single payer healthcare systems of other countries in the past, saying they’re much better than ours but now that he’s in a position to do something about it, he lies. This should prove to Trump supporters that he’s not looking out for them as they keep claiming he is but will it? If it doesn’t, it’s also proof they’re completely brainwashed and in a cult.

  10. I hope America finally catches up to the rest of the developed world regarding Healthcare. I moved to Europe over 2 decades ago and love our national/universal healthcare! It makes such a difference to a society when everyone’s health and wellbeing is a priority to the state. People here are horrified to hear about the American system. No one…NO ONE!…envies the U.S. astronomically expensive, for-profit system.

  11. In Canada, medical insurance is publicly funded. While covering everyone, Canada still spends far less on health care than the United States: about 11 percent of its GDP, compared with the United States’ 18 percent in 2016. The Canadian system is far more efficient than in the U.S. if you remove private industry from it. The reality is that private industry relies on huge profits which drive costs up.

    • You did forget to mention that Canada also has a lower Product Per Capita than the US so if the US was to implement the exact same system it would actually cost significantly less as a percentage of GDP than Canada, as the cost as a percentage of product per captia would be lower, I would suggest putting the extra money into getting even better service though.

    • Canada also has private insurers that cover things not funded by public health care – i.e. private rooms or nursing care, crutches, etc. (I haven’t lived in Canada for over 20 years so I cannot recall specific things.) Often employers offer to cover the costs of these policies as a salary benefit.

  12. Canadian here. When our country switched to public medicine the economy did not come to a grinding halt. Been going strong ever since. Many executives are going to be getting smaller bonuses and profits for insurance companies will drop. lol. The average voter will end up in a better situation with less stress. Medicine coverage for Americans must be as stressful as a mortgage.
BTW: I’ve was genetically sick (pre-existing condition) for 10 years that ended with a liver transplant. I had just started a new management job that I had to quit a month before I got medical insurance. (Covers dental + eyeglasses – everything else is free) You all would be listening to a ghost if I was American. I can only feel sorry for all Americans – and I’ve lived in the U.S.. Never gonna go back. Weekend trip would probably cost me a few grand for temporary medical insurance.

    • Ray Leps, I bet TONY C wasn’t counting your case (he only likes anecdotal evidence that supports the talking points that he hears). You are right about those weekend trips. Glad you got the treatment that you needed

    • I wish it was as stressful as a mortgage… sadly a mortgage is absolutely nothing, stress, hassle and bullshit wise compared to anything healthcare here.

  13. When you go to the polls to vote remember: Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, unemployment benefits, CHIP, food stamps, etc. were all made possible by a DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENT!! (Look it up!!) These are also the programs that the Republicans are trying to take away from you!!!

  14. Sweden here! Three years ago a suffered an anaphylactic shock and was taken to a hospital involving two ambulances. I spent three days in the intensive care unit and eight in a private room with a flat screen TV. I was brought home in a taxi and I had to pay the incredible amount of $160.00 in total! That’s how it works in a so called “socialist” country! Any questions??

    • +Hans Bjorkman I’m not a conservative Republican and regular Fox viewer. I’m a centrist/Independent.

      Sweden is becoming Islamified rapidly.

And women are being attacked. That’s why I still call myself a feminist.

Also my IQ is around 130.

    • For someone who claims to have an IQ of 130 you sure don’t get it. Were you given a standardized and comprehensive intelligence test like the WISC(Wechsler Intelligence Standardized Cognition) type of instrument or was it something you got from a catalog? If so you fell for a sales pitch from someone wanting to sell you something. I was a diagnostician and I know which diagnostic instruments are valid.

    • +Ribb Rotgut

A feminist, wow…. so every woman attacked is attacked by an Islamic guy? And I should warn you before you answer, your country does keep track of things like this and who was the attacker and it’s available on the internet. Just so you know. Also because you have an IQ of 130 (mine is 141) that you’ve decided to call yourself a femisist because women are getting attacked? So, do these Islamist pos not attack feminist?

  15. To all those claiming that Trump did not write this…. Trump did write this op ed. But it was translated by an expert with a phd in anthropology and linguistics from stupid to English.

  16. Trump doesn’t understand how to put on a Johnny when he does the rub-de-rub with a porn star. You don’t seriously think that he understands the first thing about health care now, do you? 239 pounds of rock hard golf stud. His cretin buds will design a way to line their own pockets while killing us off.Republicans can only be trusted with the most efficient way to transfer funds from mainstream America to the top 1%. That is what they understand. That is the only thing they care about. If he is planning on taking care of health care, prepare for the worst. We will all go the way of Trump Steaks.

    • I agree bomaite. I saw an interview with some Big Pharma dude trying to justify all of the gigantic price increases in meds. He said that it’s the industry’s goal of getting the most $ to shareholders. Meaning that the price of any medicine to individuals isn’t reflective of their production costs and they don’t care if some can’t afford them. Our country spends the most but we are second to last of all the 1st World nations of care received.
