Biden on Getting Rid of Medicare Advantage for Seniors as a way to Pay for Health Reform

Yesterday, on NBCs Meet the Press, Vice President Joe Biden explained that health care reform can be paid for in part by, getting rid of the Medicare advantage. Medicare Advantage currently provides health care for over 10 million seniors and, in comparison to traditional Medicare, limits seniors out-of-pocket expenses, provides additional coverage (including vision, hearing and dental benefits) as well as better coordinating care.

  1. Tax cuts = money for people,… but he wants to take them away…. Anybody
who takes tax cuts away from the people, don’t need to serve the people!

  2. Medicare Advantage is not a part of the government run Medicare. It is a
private for-profit company that is ripping off seniors, making them think
they have bought supplemental insurance when in fact they sign over their
excellent Medicare plan, allowing this company to bilk Medicare in their
name, while holding out the medical care they need. It’s a scam and needs
    to end.

  3. How incredibly dishonest! Medicare Advantage would become redundant with
the public option. Are you republicans allergic to the truth, is that what
    it is?
