Despite dozens of signs demanding MEDICARE FOR ALL, Ron Wyden almost escaped from Lincoln City without having to address his opposition to HR 676 or history of taking campaign money from private insurers. Questions were selected via a lottery system. Our tickets never came up. We decided this was an important enough issue to warrant disrupting the end of the meeting. Notably, Senator Wyden did not acknowledge the second question at all. He will continue to accept cash handouts from the industries he is supposed to be regulating. This is a candidate who outspent his GOP opponent 400 to 1 during his last re-election campaign. He doesn't need any money from Blue Cross / Blue Shield to win elections. But he wants it anyway.
