+Coach B No, it doesn’t. There’s a massive shortage of doctors in Canada. A surgery you can get within 2 weeks over here can take a year over there; people have died as a result of this and/or their symptoms gotten worse. Also, they lose out on a ton of money due to not being able to return to work until these surgeries are completed. There’s a reason Canadians come over to America to use our medical care. True, our medical care is expensive. But this isn’t a failure of capitalism but that of socialism, or government intervention, whatever you want to call it. It’s the regulations put in place that keep the costs high. For example, we have licensing restrictions that keep the number of doctors down, which increases the cost due to them creating a scarcity of doctors. This was the reason for the licensing laws in the first place and the AMA admitted this.
The more the government gets involved, the more harm they cause.
Democratic socialism is like Norway… beside it being cold its a pretty nice place to be… no one is eating dogs… if we keep with the capitalistic oligarchy we have here… we will be the ones eating dogs… do better at math!!!
