Update: It's now 9 senators. Senator Patrick Leahy is now cosponsoring the bill.
Six Democratic senators joined Senator Elizabeth Warren and Senator Kamala Harris in co-sponsoring Bernie's Medicare for All bill. It's definitely progress and it is progress that came out of the efforts made by Bernie Sanders and progressive activists. This is just the beginning of the fight for single payer.

I like you but I’m absolutely against the Fed Gov being involved with medical insurance. All governing should be done at the lowest possible level (city, county, state & federal last of all.)

In England we have a National Health Service with State hospitals and doctors. Citizens can choose to use the NHS or pay doctors and hospitals directly or buy private health insurance. What healthcare system do you and what is Bernie’s Bill actually proposing?
