The 2017 Physician Fee Schedule rule has some important changes every practice should be aware of. As Medicare continues its move towards paying for value over volume, an increasing number of pure cognitive services are being paid. In 2017, the requirements for Chronic Care Management have been lessened, and, additional codes for more time are payable. There are new codes for the extra work involved with patients with mobility disabilities, and those with cognitive problems.
