According to Kaiser Family Foundation there are 55,504,005 Medicare
beneficiaries (these figures are for 2015). If GOP does not plan to use
their proposed Voucher plan for this group but for only for those under 55
when they reach Medicare eligibility age (you can be sure GOP will also
raise the age eligibility), this 55m+ group can still wield a lot of
political power to convince GOP not to privatize Medicare for future
beneficiaries. Let’s stick together.
