Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplements are not the same thing. Medicare supplement plans are secondary to original Medicare. It pays after Medicare pays. Medicare Advantage combines your Part A and Part B benefits and most of the time includes Medicare Part D. However, Medicare is your primary insurance and you cannon get a Medicare Supplement with Medicare Advantage so you are responsible for any co-payments or co-insurance.
