Health and Aged Care Minister Mark Butler says the government’s Strengthening Medicare package is a “game changer” for thousands of GPs who sees a government in Canberra who respects and values their work.

“There is the need to free up the systems that allow practices like this, and other practices across to recruit overseas trained doctors,” Mr Butler said during a media conference in Adelaide on Monday.
