This webinar will provide an overview of Medicare Utilization data. Specifically, we will discuss what a claim is, information contained on a claim, claim and utilization types, and structure of the Medicare data files. The data files that will be discussed include the seven claim types (Inpatient, Outpatient, Skilled Nursing Facility, Home Health Agency, Hospice, Carrier or physician/supplier, and Durable Medical Equipment), the MedPAR file, and the Part D Prescription Drug Event data.
