Hi Folks, I'm Glen Kavanagh with the Medicare Friend, and I hope you find the information on here helpful:
Do Veterans Need Medicare Supplements?
Are you a veteran that's coming up on age 65? Are you wondering what you need to do with Medicare?
What we usually suggest for the veterans who already have VA medical benefits but want Medicare as a backup is to look into Medicare Part C.
Medicare Part C often doesn't cost anything to get and it can include extra benefits and coverage that you may not get with the VA.
I have helped out veterans with these plans who liked free Dental vision hearing benefits, Chiropractic care, free prescription mail-order programs, and the silver sneakers program which includes free gym benefits. You're also much better off with one of these Medicare Part C plans if you need Emergency Care outside of a VA facility or if you just need to see a doctor or specialist or stay in the hospital.
In all of these instances you can get coverage AND save a lot of money.
So remember if you're a veteran and you want your Medicare benefits you've earned, you could either buy a supplement plan or you may just want a part C plan that doesn't cost you anything and as I like to put it- it can only help.
Call the Medicare friend for a free consultation and remember if you get a plan through us with any one of these top insurance companies- you do not ever have to pay one single penny extra for your insurance needs.
I am fully convinced that working with an independent agency like us is your best bet if you want the best possible outcome. Call us now. Thanks!

Do veterans need medicare supplement
with a 100 mile drive to my VA Hospital, I made damn sure to take out a Medicare Advantage Plan. Veteran benefits have been good to me, but the medicare b & medicare advantage is a nice little supplement to add on I guess
Yes, Mr. Harris, this is one of the most common points I bring up to folks turning 65 and asking me “do veterans need Medicare”. Veterans enrolling in Medicare often times give themselves more convenience in proximity to the more common healthcare services needed as well. I’m sure its nice for you to get to choose between veterans benefits & Medicare, depending on which one best fits your needs.
