CIGNA buys Sterling's Medicare Supplements.
What does this mean to agents and the policyholders?
Poicyholders of Sterling will be marketed to buy other CIGNA products like life insurance, hospital indemnity, cancer plans, etc.
Agents will not be allowed to sell Sterling plans, at least not for now, and agents will not be allowed to replace Sterling policies with CIGNA policies, even if it is in the client's best interest.
