Medicare is Broken & Cuts Won’t Fix It (TJDS)

Steven Brill, author of a Time cover story article on what's wrong with healthcare, appeared on ABC News with George Stephanopoulos to make good points– medicare's costs could be significantly lowered if lobbyists weren't stopping medicare from negotiating for lower prices. Lowering the medicar age could also help. Will his points be discussed and digested intelligently? Of course not. Comedian Jimmy Dore and political analyst Ben Mankiewicz (Host, Turner Classic Movies) break it all down on this installment of The Jimmy Dore Show.

  1. My toaster doesn’t break then tell me, you put in wheat. What? Oh, it’s in your 206-2016 amended 5,697 page Toaster Contract.

  2. It gets me the common people pay 36% in taxes and Medicare is taken of our paychecks and people that make over $200,000 only pay 15% tax is so they don’t put they don’t pay into it so why are they crying about it they just want to make a profit off of the taxpayers and get rid of Medicare how it is and which is not broken because our tax dollars pay for tougher paychecks but no they wanna make a profit off of it.  This another reason why to vote for Jill Stein as president.
