Which is why Libertarians would have avoided this all together.

But, Much like Social Security Libertarians understand we can not
eliminate Medicare tomorrow, that would be reckless and dangerous. To
the American peoples detriment the Red and Blue teams have hooked our
seniors on a terrible punch bowl who's broader impact is killing our
healthcare system and bankrupting the nation.
