You can’t get D if you don’t have B – and you wouldn’t want to.
So if you are still working past 65 and have not signed up for Medicare
Part B because you have adequate health insurance with a creditable
prescription plan through your private employer, don’t worry about the Part
D’s enrollment period deadline of December 7, 2015. Once you stop working
you can get both B and D with no penalties. Just plan for them to begin the
month you are no longer covered by your private company’s plan.
No B, No D. Simple.
