When talking with Medicare beneficiaries, trying to figure out which plan they are on can be confusing to them sometimes.

Medicare Advantage plans are often thought of as a Medicare Supplement. Although Medicare Advantage plans are a form of supplemental coverage, they are not called this.

So when I talk with seniors that have been on Medicare, I usually will ask them if they have their insurance card handy. That's if they are unsure which Medicare plan they are on.

Often when people apply for Medicare online, they often don't end up working with a Medicare Sales agent or Medicare broker.

The frustrating part about people signing up for Medicare online is that they were not aware of all their Medicare options. So when I meet with people and they have been on a Medicare Supplement for years, and weren't aware of Medicare Advantage plans, they often get upset or think they did something wrong.
