Seamless Conversion is a trick used by insurance companies to get those turning 65 enrolled into their Medicare Advantage plans without enough disclosure and through no action required. It should not be the case that they can merely "notify" you that you are now in a much more restrictive plan and have given up original Medicare for the "Advantage plan."
Similarly, those on a Part D, stand-alone plan are receiving calls during the Annual Enrollment Period, telling them that they should come over to a full-Medicare Advantage plan, often without fully explaining the ramifications of giving up original Medicare for a "Free" Medicare Advantage option.
