Years ago call centers would call me and ask me if my mommy or daddy is home so I pretended to be the child for quite a while they kept asking for my mommy or daddy. And then I would say ok I’ll go get mommy so I would wait for 1to 2 minutes then come back on and say hello then they would say go get your mommy I said I am the mommy. while I was cooking dinner or cleaning house. I would keep putting them on hold with my Gospel music or children’s songs. Every time I picked the phone up I asked them to repete what they were saying. They ask me if I’m interested to know more of what they were offering say yes. But I’m so sorry I have to put you on hold again I got a phone call so don’t hang up. I would ask them all kinds of questions as if I’m intrested then after an hour or so keeping them on the phone I would say I am so busy can I call you back or put you on hold my water is boiling or give some kind of excuses. Then come back on and tell them I’m sorry to have wasted your time but I’m really busy can I call you back they would say ma’am we can call you back I say ok but if you dont get an answer just keep trying. One time I pretended to be an answering service operator. Lol.
