We should have had it 30 yrs ago.
Medicare for all is cheaper than the current system, and expands access. It’s the fiscally conservative option.
Eduardo Suastegui you seem to be under the impression that the cost of these drugs and services stay the same in the same two systems. This is not true.
Once the government creates an insurance company that covers everyone , they have huge bargaining power in the prices they will and will not pay. Since everyone is on their plan, they simply have large negotation power. This dramatically drives down the cost of medications and services , compared to the current system.
So yes, the system is less expensive than the current system, where costs can artificially keep going up .

We have medical car for all up here in Canada. If I were an American, I would have died of a curable cancer in 2000, of cardiac arrhythmia more recently, and of a heart attack 3 years ago… And how about both my father and mother… and so many other… Our system is not perfect. You sometime have to wait a long time for non urgent treatment, but at least, our hospitals are not run by Ferengi.
