  1. He’s the “most progressive candidate” yet he’s taking the centrist middle ground position constantly…strange.

    • +Jack C I was mostly joking about the “Be honest” part…. Joking that calling him a Centrist is giving him too much credit. xD

    • +LYTA AVBL and I’m sorry I’m just going to have to call it as I see it. AOC is a woman, and that’s the only reason you don’t trust her. Go ahead name anything. Name one thing and the word socialism doesn’t count because you support Bernie. Go ahead spend all day digging. All you got is her humble beginnings as a bartender.

    • These positions aren’t centrist, they are right wing. Bernie is centrist. You have to be a actual Socialist to be left wing.

  2. And Mainstream Media wants you to think Joe Biden is polling at twice the % that Bernie is.

    Yeah seems legitimate.

    • Medicare SUCKS. If you think Medicare for all is a good idea it’s probably because your ignorant to what Medicare covers. Medicare covers 80% on prescriptions, dr offices, procedures, and E.R. visits. Leaving you with 20% of the COST. Medicare also does NOT cover DENTAL and certain other forms coverage you would expect. Forcing everyone to pay higher taxes for health insurance and to have to pay for an HMO to cover what Medicare doesn’t cover. The only people who would benefit are extremely poor people who are capable of getting dual insurance with medicare and medicaid. Most of the time the states only offer a spend down which meand they only vover the 20% of the cost after you hit your deductible and they would help cover a little more on prescriptions. This is NOT universal health care. You guys should educate yourselves!

    • If he said that, I would respect Biden. Not vote for him, but still have some respect for being straight forward.

    • +Lizzy Bennet Well he is proud at having in his own words, “prostituted himself” towards the guys with the big bucks.

    • +The Greendalewitch @Liza True, very true… Nowadays he’s gaslighting to get votes. I hope all of this is brought up during the debates.

  3. My employers in the EU always supplemented my health care over the last 28 years living here. I’m pretty sure most EU countries do this.
Joe is counting on uniformed voters that like his name recognition.

  4. The nod to unions is a lousy one… If unions no longer need to get people insurance, that just puts unions in charge of better wages. Which, most people would rather have better wages than anything.

    • Agreed! Unions want Healthcare out so they can focus on pay and pensions and working conditions. Right now, Healthcare is such an escalating expense and keeps having to come before everything else that should be on the table. Plus one of the largest, most organized group fighting for Medicare for All is National Nurses United…a union.

  5. Those in congress have great health care for life…..as we all should. They enjoy socialism, like all wealthy people in America. The USA is an Oligarchy!

    • You got that right. Tax dodging left and right and probably storing money in off shore accounts somewhere. You know crimes that regular folk end up in prison for.

    • Damn it, you guys hit the nail right on the head! If our healthcare system is so good, why don’t they have it? If minimum wage is so good, why aren’t they getting paid it? If wars are so necessary, why aren’t they fighting them? I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired of politics in America. I wish “we the people” would rise up, unify, and take over the government and force them to do the will of “we the people”!

  6. It’s dumb when you think about it but brilliant when you don’t. That’s Joe in s nut shell.

He’s dividing us into employees and employers. It’s a classic debate tactic

  7. It was a “Freudian slip” when Joe said “what about this thing profit”….He was talking about profit from private medical insurance companies… Joe is so freaking Neoliberal, he can’t help himself.

    • +Altruisminservice Agreed, I don’t think this guy is playing 3d chess with his answers to questions & statements/speeches. I think the real challenge will be getting people to see through his friendly personality to see what he really stands for. Trump has been so awful that unfortunately a lot of people have forgotten _why_ they were fed up enough with the establishment to put mango Mussolini in the white house in the _first place._ Now many are desperately clinging to ‘the devil they know’.

    • +Hakura Chii Good way of putting it…Biden is not a 3D chess player….Anything but….He is on the surface likeable in general speech conversation… but, his history forebodes his….

He has a horrific allegiance to the Neoliberal one percent That is without question, his real constituency…….

I have reasonable care for unions… I Think they elevated wages, and reduced inequality and poverty… My father was a tradesman union man….And raised a family on a fair wage….I do understand they’re is corruption in anything including unions as it gets up there in political leadership…

Union leaders and business agents can become corrupt…. Unfortunately anything can….. And like I said, I support the philosophy of unions….it is good socialism.. when it is not corrupt…

I have seen this circumstance first hand.. but not go into that story…..

I will stay with this story… I was not impressed with the Fire Department Union endorsing Biden… That was establishment corruption endorsing establishment corruption… I know it.. I have seen it… I understand it…They should be utterly ashamed of themselves… but the ordinary fireman cannot do anything about it…Except vote Sanders..And they will.

Once you drill down on Biden…Not much to like…I mean not allowing the corroborative evidence of the Anita Hill witnesses…That is so beyond bad to me….Anita Hill was a whistle blower hero.. and Joe Biden cut the legs out from under her….I will remember that like older Texans remember the Alamo.

    • +Altruisminservice Ugh, the Anita Hill thing… I was so _disgusted._ When asked (somewhat recently, I think) about that, he gave this ‘I wish I could have done more to support her & keep the subject matter on track’ platitude nonsense… _HE was in charge of the hearing!_ He participated in subjecting her to patronizing unreasonable BS & rejecting her ability to support her claims. Infuriating.

He’s a ‘good ol’ boy’ Republican with a ‘D’ next to his name. And what you say about Unions is true. Whenever I talk about Unions to my mom, she brings up the corruption & how bad it got (again, exactly like you said). I try to explain the positives, but I honestly don’t know what the answer is (how to prevent that corruption, or if we even _can)._ Anywhere money & power are involved makes that sort of bad behavior pretty much a sure thing, at least to some extent. I guess it comes down to weighing the pros & cons.

Yeah, his personality is what’s going to be difficult to sway people from (& we know what voters putting personality above policy got us). But I think he’s arrogant behind the friendly mask, & probably self-righteous. But that’s just my opinion. Bernie will excel at actually making a case for why he should be elected… Biden… Not so much.

    • +Hakura Chii do not pay the union LEADERS TOO MUCH. Good pay – but is is better pay TWO people a decent working class salary, then they will IDENTIFY with working class people (and cannot afford to mingle with the upper class). I would also ban unions from donating to any political party.

That would counteract the Republican talking points – and the leadership of the unions would be less inclined to “cozy up” with the establishment of the Democratic party.

They would rather leverage the power of having members that turn out, that are willing to knock on doors, the power of their endorsement – if and only IF the party does something for them.

I heard a video about the wild teacher strikes (I think on The Real News). Teachers and gov. employees are banned from striking, but last year they have had it and striked anyway. I think the rebellion started in West Virginia where they have a union history because of mining. The politicians could not stand up against them because they had public sympathies. (they organised school lunch, maybe also supervision for the kids of parents that work).

Originally they did not even have the support of the unions, the BASE pushed state AND unions.

They got more concession in one year that they got for begging the Democratic party in many years.

In Germany the workers representatives are at the board of larger companies (think car manufacturers for instance, and those people are always higher ups in the unions and have chances in the Social Democratic party).

It sounds impressive in theory. Does nothing to stem the tide of neoliberalism in practice.

Management and shareholder would prefer not to have them there. But the 2nd best solution is to BUY them. If the democratic element consists only of a few people (that have little oversight from the base) these few CAN and WILL be corrupted.
Parking space next to the CEO, luxury trips for all board members – with the inevitable sex scandal (VW). All board members including the representatives of workers were part of that.

A representative of the workers should not get paid like management, and they should park where the regular workers park. They start to identify with the upper class and with management.

      As to have better unions:
Have a leadership board where the presidency revolves. So it will not be the person with the biggest ego / charisma / rhetorical skills that wins the leadership. Such a set-up gives a chance to the uncharismatic (but valuable) work horses and it promotes people that are good in cooperating and are good team players.
with a relatively normal salary they will live among the community and cannot afford any aspirations to mingle with the upper class.
That setting would attract the people that are in it to SERVE – as opposed to those that are ego-driven or are in it to further a political career.

Have rules that give the MEMBERS a lot of say in the “institutions” – the grassroots are often killed by the establishment by the power of committees. (See what the neoliberal wing of Labour tried to do or the DNC and DCCC).

  8. Joe “Father Goose” Biden has no real policies. He just wants to get in power and do the bidding of his wealthy and corporate donors.

  9. “What happens to this whole thing about profit?” Translation: “What happens to me and my donors?”

  10. I can’t believe people actually like Biden. Pinning your hopes on a two time loser and full time shill who couldn’t even beat Michael Dukakis is deeply foolish.

    • Emily Moss I think they believe he is Obama 2.0….we need the mainstream media to do what the Humanist Report, Damage Report, TYT, et al are doing. Tell the WHOLE truth. If people were educated in the real situation, Biden’s numbers would tank.

  11. Good job! I didn’t see anyone else properly shredding Biden about that “Don’t let employers off the hook, what about profits??”
    Nonsensical drivel.
